Analogue,
infra-red wireless language distribution |
 |
The
analogue Infrared system has been replaced by the digital
infrared system 'Integrus' but some parts are still available.
Contact the sales department or complete the form for further
information >>
In
simple terms, the Philips / Bosch infrared
distribution system consists of one transmitter, one or more
radiators and a number of receivers. Various accessories are
available such as headphones, cables and battery chargers.
|
|
|
The
wireless system enable multiple translated languages to be distributed
throughout the conference venue and delegates can set the language
of their choice and listen to it through headphones. Up to 12
interpreter desks (LBB 3222/04) for 6 languages can be directly
connected to an analogue input module in a daisy chain configuration.
Alternatively, a digital module will provide an interface for
connection to the Philips / Bosch DCN interpretation system. |

The
Philips / Bosch transmitter is the central element in an infrared
distribution system. It accepts inputs from analogue conference
systems such as the Philips / Bosch CCS 800 or a digital input
from the Philips / Bosch DCN. It will route the floor language
plus each of the interpretations, modulates these signals
onto a carrier wave, and transmits to infrared radiators located
in the conference venue or room. The transmitter is of modular
design that allows the ideal configuration to be realest for
different conference requirements. The housing for the system
is the LBB 3420/00, a 19" frame with slots for accommodating
up to seven modules.

|
|
Four
modules are available for the infrared transmitter and are
listed below:
LBB
3421/00
Channel module allows up top four interpretation channels
per module. It generates a separate frequency modulated carrier
for each channel. A total of four channel modules can be inserted
in the IR housing, giving a maximum of 15 channels of interpretation
plus the floor language.
LBB 3422/10
Analogue interface for CCS 400, CCS 800 and other analogue
conference systems. Up to 12 interpreter desks (LBB 3222/04)
for 6 languages can be directly connected to the module in
a daisy chain configuration. The module can also accept inputs
from other audio sources such as public address systems.
LBB 3423/00
Digital interface for connection of Philips / Bosch DCN interpretation
system. The module allows for simultaneous interpretations
generated by the Philips / Bosch DCN system to be distributed
by the infra-red language distribution system.
LBB 3424/00
Basic module which provides four trunk outputs to the infra-red
radiators. The radiators are connected by coaxial cables in
a daisy chain configuration. The module has an internal mini
radiator for testing and audio monitoring.
|
|
|
 |
|
The
radiators are used to distribute infra-red signals
throughout the building and are designed to operate
over short distances. The LBB 3410/05 is a wide beam
radiator with an output power of 2W. The LBB 3411/00
is a high powered radiator of 25W and the LBB 3412/00
has an output power of 25W. They are ideal for use
in even the largest conference venues and all radiators
have internal power supply units and can be mounted
on walls, ceilings or floor stands. A separate bracket
LBB 3414/00 is available for mall or ceiling mounting.
The radiators are stylishly designed and finished
and have convection cooling which means that no fan
is required, so that the radiators function quietly
and unobtrusively.

Philips
/ Bosch infrared receivers incorporate the latest electronic
technology including a specially designed IC, to produce
maximum performance. An added feature is circuitry that
automatically switches off the receiver if the user
has left the infra-red reception zone for a preset period
of time. A choice of headphone is available and listed
in accessories. Eight receivers are available in options
of 2,7 or 16 channel with a choice of disposable or
rechargeable batteries. Four receivers have an upshift
feature, which significantly reduces interference from
fluorescent lamps operating at 28khz.
